As an artist and arts educator, I care deeply about creating spaces where students of all ages feel free to explore, take risks, and build confidence through art-making. I have worked with children, teens, adults, and elders, and I adapt my teaching to meet students where they are.

My teaching encourages curiosity, experimentation, and self-expression while building strong technical foundations. I introduce drawing, observation, color theory, composition, perspective, and material processes in ways that support each student’s interests and experience level. For younger students, I focus on helping them trust their ideas and feel confident making choices. For adults and elders, I continue to encourage exploration while offering opportunities to strengthen technique and deepen their understanding of the art-making process.

I use demonstrations, hands-on activities, visual references, discussion, and individual guidance to support different learning styles. I also work to create an anti-racist, anti-ableist, and anti-sexist learning environment where students, particularly those who have felt marginalized or unheard in traditional educational spaces, feel respected and supported.

Ultimately, I want students to leave my classes with greater confidence, curiosity, technical knowledge, and trust in their own creative voice.
